The SITEC.Inc facility is envisioned as a Multifunctional Venue. Its functions are the following:
1. As the Western New York Indoor Track and Field Training Venue – No matter what season it is, it will always be training season at the S.I.T.E.C.,Inc. facility. The proposed 8 lane oval will provide distance and middle distance runners a separate area from the sprinters/hurdlers and their 8 lane straightaway. The Long/Triple Jump area is proposed to have 4 jumping pits and runways. The Throws events are proposed to have 4 competition circles with additional practice circles and adjacent conditioning training area. The proposed high jump area has 2 pits as does the pole vault to give jumpers a variety of training areas. With an expansive facility, the Western New York Indoor Training facility will be able to accommodate a large number of athletes from throughout Western New York. When winter comes, this facility is the most practical option for track and field athletes, runners and fitness enthusiasts.

3. Learn by Doing – The Proposed S.I.T.E.C. Inc. facility serves as a “Learning Center” for athletes and coaches. Working out with other athletes is an excellent way to learn from each other. With the best technology, training aids and coaching available, athletes and coaches will be able to learn through “video replay” and see what they are doing in practice and competition to help them improve their performances. A pacer light is proposed to help athletes learn proper pace set to specific “goal” times. Additionally, athletes and coaches will have the opportunity to participate in clinics and presentations made by guest experts in the field. Also proposed is a resource room for coaches and athletes to review latest skills and techniques in the sport.
4. Provide Associated Resources – As the Western New York Indoor Track and Field facility, S.I.T.E.C.,Inc. is presently working to obtain partnerships with various organizations and businesses which compliment the running community.
